A photo of Matthew H. Gross. He specializes in melting down old gold and turning old jewelry into new designs.I became quite interested in the jewelry industry at the age of fifteen, when I was offered an apprenticeship at a local jewelry store. My interest continued throughout high school where I attended classes in art and jewelry design.

Upon completing high school, I attended the Gemological Institute of America in Santa Monica, California where I became a Graduate Gemologist. After further study, I became a member of the International Society of Appraisers. I later became employed as a Senior Designer and Chief Gemologist in Stamford, Connecticut.

Upon my return to the Metro Detroit area, I decided to open my own jewelry studio in downtown Berkley, Michigan, where I design, create, sell, repair, appraise and restore jewelry pieces.
